This is new old stock from a magic shop buy-out many years ago. The packaging envelopes show some shelf wear from years of storage and being moved about but the bridge-size cards are new, never used.
A novel adaptation with a “Surprise Ending” of the card trick “Half Right” [from 50 More Modern Card Tricks by Glenn Gravatt] and based upon the same author’s earlier effect called Two Minds With But A Single Thought.
EFFECT: After the performer has displayed a packet of half-cards, two spectators are each asked to divide the packet, count the number of cards each has, then remember the card that falls at each person’s number when the performer recombines the packet and deals each card, face-up, onto the table. The original “miracle” ends when each spectator removes his remembered card-half and the two halves are shown to be matching halves of the same card!
Aldini’s “surprise ending” comes when the matching halves are turned face-down and are also found to have matching “Aviator” backs. Yet, when the entire packet is turned face-down all of the remaining backs are different, and NO TWO MATCHING FACES HAVE MATCHING BACKS!
The spectators have “selected” the only matching card in the entire packet!
