A small paper bag is introduced. It is folded over at the top and secured with a paper clip. The performer remarks “My next trick is in the bag!” The paper clip is removed from the bag and placed aside. The bag is opened up and a horse shoe magnet, attached to a piece of yarn, is removed and freely shown. A deck of playing cards is also removed from the bag.
The cards are fanned out and freely shown to be ordinary and to contain all different cards just as a normal deck would. A card is selected from the pack, remembered, and replaced into the deck’s center. Without any suspicious moves the cards are squared , shown all around , and placed into the paper bag. The paper clip is also dropped into the bag and the sack is shaken mixing up the cards.
The performer asks the spectator for the name of the chosen card as the magnet is lowered down into the paper bag using the yarn. When the yarn is raised the selected card is seen attached to the magnet because the paper clip has somehow magically attached itself to the selected card!
