The original Change Raisers is a now hard to find book explaining the tricks that change raisers used to walk in to a store and leave with more more money after buying something than they had when they originally entered the store and also explains methods of short changing which is when the shop gives the customer less change than they should.
It was written by the mysterious W.M Tucker (if that was his real name) who has never been tracked down and contains full instructions not only for the con artist but also for cashiers on how to help prevent this sort of scam. And as an added bonus contains a magic performance at the end that explains how change raising works to audiences.
Change raisers are the grifters who trick cashiers and clerks into returning too much change. Information on other shortchange artists and cash register scams, including The Marked Bill, The Split Bill, The Torn Bill, and other con games are revealed.
