Vintage Abbott’s Repeat-It

Description

Good working pre-owned condition. Comes with the original Abbott’s Magic instructions. The only fault that we see is that one of the chrome tubes has a small section where the original soldered seam has opened up at bit. See our third picture. This does not affect the operation of the trick at all. The rest of the seam is solidly joined together. You receive all the items pictured, including the secret gimmicks. All you need to supply is a lemon and three 12″ silks; all of the same color.

Effect: The magician displays two chromed metal tubes, two clear glass tumblers, and a silk handkerchief. Both tubes are absolutely unprepared and can be examined. The silk is inside one glass at the beginning, this is removed and freely displayed. The glass tumblers may also be passed out for examination.

One tube and glass are placed on the magician’s left side, the other tube and glass on his right, as far apart as the size of the table top will permit. Two tables or two chairs may also be used. No special tables are required. The metal covers are placed over each glass, the silk is removed from glass #1 and placed into glass #2. Instantly, glass #2 is shown to be empty along with the tube used to cover the glass! Magician states that he will repeat the effect and on removing the cover from glass #1, the silk is seen to be back there. Again the silk is removed from glass #1 and placed into glass #2. Instantly, and once again, glass #2 and the tube covering it are shown to be completely empty! The silk has vanished for a second time!

Again, the magician repeats, showing the silk back in glass #1. This is removed and placed back into glass #2 and once again is shown to have completely vanished! And now here comes the surprising climax, for upon removing the tube from glass #1 a real lemon is seen in the glass! This can be immediately tossed out to the audience!

The whole effect is self-contained and easy to do!
