This came from an old magician’s estate purchase. Through some research and help from George Robinson from Viking Magic, Mfg. we found out that this is an original Kenard model, circa 1943. It did not come with any original instructions but we do have a copy from a model manufactured by Mel Babcock which works the same. These will be included with the trick. The only difference is that in the Babcock instructions it states that on the side of the block there are the stamped letters MHB. But on this original Kenard model the letter K is stamped on the side of the block.
Effect: A solid block of walnut, with a long bolt running through it, is displayed. The bolt is removed and handed to a volunteer. The bolt is replaced through the walnut block and a nut is spun on snugly. Any coin from a dime, quarter or even the new dollar coin is borrowed then visibly penetrates through the bolt. The nut is spun off the bolt. The bolt is removed and immediately handed to the volunteer along with the nut and block. The ‘Block and Bolt” trick defies detection as to how it is done.
The bolt does not unscrew from itself like “Ball Through Bolt”.
