Where do you get your magic products?
We get our new products from the best established dealers and jobbers located in the United States. Our pre-owned magic mainly comes from estate buy-outs, auctions, and collectors.
How often do you restock your products?
We restock our best sellers on a regular basis. Much of our used and vintage collectable magic is one-of-a-kind and once they are sold they’re gone and can not be restocked.
Do you back order items?
No, we do not back order items. We never liked ordering an item and paying for it, only to be told the item is not currently available. Then having to hassle with replacements or store credits. On our website we only show you items that are in stock and ready for shipment. When an items’ available stock number drops to zero the item will no longer be visible on the website until we restock that item, as long as it’s something that we can obtain again. As already mentioned one-of-a-kind pre-owned and collectable items usually can not be restocked.
Do you buy used magic tricks?
Yes, we do buy (or in some cases trade) good and collectable magic and books. We do not have any interest in common and low priced magic items. We recommend you email us a list of what you have for sale and what you are asking for it and we will let you know. We would not have any interest in pre-owned VHS tapes, audio tapes, or DVD’s.
Can I visit the warehouse in person?
Yes the warehouse is available for walk-ins but only on an appointment basis. You would need to contact us first so we can set up a time that will work for both of us. We can accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, and American Express for payment in the store. Cash is also accepted. We do not accept any personal checks.
How long have you been in business?
Winkler’s Magic Warehouse is the newest name for a magic company that has been in business since 1986. Know by former names like Magic HQ, Winkler’s Warehouse of Wonders, and Winkler’s Warehouse & Services we think our newest name is the most appropriate for the business we’re in. We cater to all types of magical entertainers and hobbyists along with the allied arts like juggling, ventriloquism, etc. We have a well stocked store that is available by appointment if you ever wish to stop in. The owner, David Winkler, has been involved with magic from the young age of 10 years old and has performed magic at numerous occasions in the past. He is currently strictly involved with magic as a dealer and will do his best to give you the magic you desire at fair and competitive prices.
Do I need to place a minimum order?
Yes, we require a minimum order of $15.
What are your domestic shipping rates for regular magic items?
We use flat rate shipping and handling for the 48 contiguous United States which amounts to $8.00 shipping for Priority Mail and $3.50 for handling which helps to cover some of our required supplies like packing peanuts, bubble wrap, tape, packing up and delivering the order, etc. This pertains to regular box-size orders that are under $100. Any regular box-size order over $100 will obtain free shipping and just incur our low handling fee of $3.50. The only exception to free shipping is when you order an item that is quite large or heavy, or a combination of the two, and when dimensional weight comes into play. We can not ship these larger items for free even when their value exceeds $100. Items that fall into this category are noted in our listing and will tell you up front that free shipping does not apply to that item and that you must contact us first for a shipping quote. To obtain a shipping quote we will need your zip code.
What about large items that require additional shipping charges?
Any large item(s) that will require additional shipping costs over and above our regular shipping flat rate fee will be flagged with the items description. Before adding any such item to your shopping cart please contact us first so we can let you know what the extra cost will be to your location. Once you have contacted us and we have given you the cost of the extra shipping required (and you agree with the amount) we will send you a PayPal Money Request for that amount. You can then add that item to your shopping cart and proceed with checkout. Your order will be processed in a timely manner.
My order was for over $100. Why didn’t I get free shipping?
We can only offer free shipping on smaller package items. Large items do not apply to our free shipping offer. Also the $100.00 must be for products. Shipping charges do not count towards the $100 free shipping offer.
What are your shipping rates for book-only orders?
If you order only magic books and they aren’t too heavy then they will ship the same as regular magic items in the 48 contiguous United States as mentioned above. If your book order is heavy then we will ship by Media Mail.
What are your shipping rates for magic and book items combined?
That will depend on how heavy your package becomes. We may have to ship the books separately from the regular magic items. We will contact you if any additional shipping charges are required. If you plan on placing such an order we recommend that you contact us first before placing order.
Do you ship outside the 48 contiguous United States?
Yes we ship outside the contiguous United States but anyone placing an order from those areas must contact us first so we can quote a total delivered cost which covers the shipping and handling charges to your location. We can not offer any free shipping to orders outside the 48 contiguous United States no matter how large the order may be.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Yes, we welcome orders from other countries. The biggest problem we have with these type of purchases is figuring out the proper shipping and handling. Shipping outside the United States to another country can get quite expensive and it’s almost impossible to try and factor in one flat rate to cover all areas. So to get over this hurdle we offer two ways to handle this. One way is for you to contact us first via email with your address and items you wish to purchase. We will then let you know what the entire order will cost including shipping and handling. If you want to proceed we will send you a PayPal Money Request for that amount. Once you pay the money request we will process and ship your order. The second way is for you to just order directly from the website. The shipping and handling charges that are calculated on the site are only an estimate. If the amount greatly differs from our estimate, we will send you a PayPal Money Request for the extra money needed for shipping and handling to your location. Once you pay the money request your order will be processed and shipped. If you decide to order directly from the website a message will appear stating that you will be billed for the extra money needed to cover shipping and handling.
Can I return a magic, book, or DVD item if I’m not happy with it?
Unfortunately you can not return any magic item for a refund or exchange. ALL SALES FINAL! Please be very careful in your selection of tricks from our on-line store. The intrinsic value of any magical effect is in its working and secret. Therefore we cannot exchange or refund money on tricks, books, or DVD’s selected from our store for any reason other than a defect in workmanship. Pre-owned items are not returnable for any reason. While we do make every effort to satisfy our customers and maintain high quality standards of our products, we must be clear in our policies concerning exchanges and returns. Any new item returned due to a defect or any damage occurring during shipping will be exchanged for a new one. No exchanges will be given for a different item. All sales are final and there will be no cash or credit refunds. Any return that is justified and approved by us may be subject to a 20% restocking charge. So please be careful in your choice of magical products ordered. We are always willing to help you in any way possible!
Note: If you should receive an item with a manufacturing defect, we will be more than happy to replace it. Simply call us at 860-859-3474 or 860-859-3474 or email us at email@example.com to request a return authorization number. We do ask that you notify us within one week of the day you receive the defective item. If, however, the damage appears to have been caused during shipping, you must contact your local USPS office to file a claim. This will insure that you receive a brand new product as quickly as possible or are refunded if it’s a one-of-a-kind item that can not be replaced. Do you wholesale your magic?
We are not currently in a position to wholesale our products. We can at times offer a courtesy discount of 20% to other established magic dealers. We suggest you contact us for details.
