From a magician’s estate purchase. Good condition. No instructions. The maker of this folding quarter is not known.
Effect: The magician introduces a normal coin and an empty bottle which can be examined. Magically the coin is caused to penetrate the solid bottle and appear inside. It is shown all around and the spectators confirm that the coin is really inside bottle. Then the performer removes the coin! Bottle and coin can be examined.
Note: You receive the specially cut quarter as pictured and some rubber bands only. You must supply the bottle and the routine.
How It Works: The Cut: A standard quarter is precisely sliced into two or more pieces with a specialized saw or laser. The Band: A tiny elastic rubber band fits inside a groove cut along the edge of the coin. The Action: The elastic tension keeps the coin looking solid when flat, but lets you fold it instantly when you apply pressure.
