Vanishing Coin in Glass of Water (Vintage)

Description

From an old magician’s estate purchase. Very good condition. This comes with a real glass shot glass and a quarter size glass disc (not plastic). This makes for a much better and realistic sound of the apparent quarter being dropped into the glass of water.

Comes with a nice red opaque cloth handkerchief as pictured and instructions.

Effect: A real quarter is shown (one can be borrowed), marked by a spectator, and placed under a handkerchief which is given to the spectator to hold. They can feel the coin under the handkerchief. Now a small glass is introduced and filled with water. The spectator is asked to hold the handkerchief with the coin over the glass and then drop the coin into the glass. The coin is heard to fall into the glass. But when the handkerchief is removed the coin has vanished from the glass. They can look at and into the glass from all all angles but no coin is seen. To prove the coin is really gone the performer empties out the water from the glass. Nothing is seen inside. Now the magician reproduces the same marked coin from wherever he so desires!

Note: The method used to reproduce the marked coin is left up to the performer. It can simply be reproduced from the pocket or found inside a ball of wool or inside a nest of boxes, etc.
