Description
This is new old stock from a Magic shop buy-out.
A most novel and perplexing trick, using (apparently) just four playing cards.
Cards are shown faces and backs towards the audience, Cards are blue-backed and consist of two red-suit cards and two black-suit cards, arranged alternatively.
Having displayed the cards, magician turns over the two black cards, so they are faces out amongst the face down cards. The fan of cards is closed up and it is clearly seen that the red cards are facing one way, the black cards the other way. Magician gives the cards a simply snap with his fingers, immediately fanning these out to show the cards are “as you were” all facing the same way again!
One card, a black one, is now removed from the spread and placed in full view in the magician’s top breast pocket. Performer states that the cards always do exactly as they are told; for example, the black card will turn to red. Momentarily the magician fans the card in the pocket with the three face out cards remaining in his hand. The card is removed from the pocket. it is still black, but when the card is turned over, it is seen that the back of this card is now red! Magician touches each of the remaining cards in his hand, then flicking these over to show that the backs of all these cards have also changed to red!
The four cards can be immediately examined, but the audience are not left with a clue as to the method used.
