Matchbox Penetration

Description

Effect: Here’s a real knockout effect. The performer introduces a matchbox and a needle. He says that he will cause the sharp needle to penetrate the matchbox and the contents inside. So he sticks the needle into the top of the matchbox and pushes it completely through the box where it can be seen sticking through the bottom side. The needle is removed and placed aside. The spectators aren’t very impressed with this demonstration until the performer opens up the matchbox, and there inside are not a bunch of loose matches, but a solid block of brass that takes up the entire area of the drawer!

How the needle passed through this solid block of brass they will never figure out, and they will talk about this one for weeks after.

You receive the matchbox, needle, instructions, and the specially machined block of brass that make the trick possible. After the trick is performed, everything can be minutely examined. The needle is not gimmicked in any way.
