Vanishing Coin in Glass of Water With Real Glass and Half Dollar

Description

From a magician’s estate purchase. Good condition. Comes with instructions. This comes with a real half dollar size glass disc (not plastic). This makes for a much better and realistic sound of the apparent coin being dropped into the glass of water. Also comes with a real drinking glass with the proper size flat bottom and a real half dollar. All you need to supply is an opaque cloth handkerchief.

Effect: A real half dollar is shown (one can also be borrowed), marked by a spectator, and placed under a handkerchief which is given to the spectator to hold. They can feel the coin under the handkerchief. Now a small glass is introduced and filled with water. The spectator is asked to hold the handkerchief with the coin over the glass and then drop the coin into the glass. The coin is heard to fall into the glass. But when the handkerchief is removed the coin has vanished from the glass. They can look at and into the glass from all all angles but no coin is seen. To prove the coin is really gone the performer empties out the water from the glass. Nothing is seen inside. Now the magician reproduces the same marked coin from wherever he so desires!

Note: The method used to reproduce the marked coin is left up to the performer. It can simply be reproduced from the pocket or found inside a ball of wool or inside a nest of boxes, etc.
