Description
A classic hand chopper invented by Lester Lake and first released by Abbott’s Magic Company in the 1940s. Often copied – never equaled! Many convincing displays and features allow for a convincing illusion. In a few cases, the spectators even say that they feel the blade passing through their wrists, despite the fact that it does them no harm. A few paint chips, and other minor wear, otherwise in very good and useable pre-owned condition. The apparatus folds flat for transporting to and from your shows.
Supplied with a copy of operating instructions that are not from Abbott’s Magic Company but the handling and working are basically the same.
Effect: The magician demonstrates by cutting a carrot in the top hole as well as the wrist and bottom hole of Disecto that the blade is really sharp. Next, a spectator puts their hand through the wrist hole, and they are secured in. Now a carrot is put in the top hole and through the bottom hole of Disecto making the spectator quite nervous! Now Disecto’s steel blade is pushed downwards through the carrot in the top hole, slicing it in half! The blade continues downward through the spectator’s wrist! They remove their wrist, still attached to their arm, and the blade cuts the bottom carrot in two pieces!
