Description

From a magician’s estate purchase. No instructions.

The Brass Okito Coin Box is a classic, ungimmicked solid brass prop invented in 1909 by illusionist Theo Bamberg (Okito) and used in close-up coin magic to make coins vanish, appear, multiply, or penetrate straight through the container.

A precision-lathed solid brass container with a loose-fitting lid and bottom designed to hold standard-sized coins (such as U.S. half dollars or English pennies. The box itself is completely innocent and can be examined by spectators; the magic relies on skillful sleight of hand, gravity, and timing.

Classic Effects: Magicians place coins inside, place the lid on, tap or wave over the box, and cause the coins to pass right through the brass bottom onto a table or jump into an empty hand.
